The Executive Insight Series™ (EIS) assists high-potential Pan-Asian managers and senior professionals to attain leadership roles in major North American corporations. EIS provides insight into key characteristics, specific behaviors, competencies, and experiences required to reach the executive level. Participants typically have 8-12 years of experience and hold manager, senior manager, director or pre-executive positions.

Participants will earn 7 CPE credits after completion of this one day course.

Janet Wong

Janet S. Wong, CPA, is an independent Board Director and Audit Committee Chairman of Enviva Partners, a global energy company (NYSE: EVA). In December 2018, Directors and Boards magazine named her as a “Director to Watch.” She serves on the Advisory Board of BigControls, a cloud-based software company. Janet is a CPA and a retired partner with KPMG where she was based in its Silicon Valley and San Francisco offices.
She volunteers as a Senior Executive Advisor to Ascend where she leads Ascend Pinnacle, the largest network of experienced Pan-Asian corporate board directors.
Janet also serves as a Trustee for the Computer History Museum, Board Director for the Southwest Affiliate of the American Heart Association, and the Louisiana Tech University Foundation Board. She is a past recipient of the Louisiana Tech College of Business Alumni of the Year award, Silicon Valley Business Times Women of Distinction award, and the Ascend Inspirational Leadership Award.

Larry, an Executive Advisor at Ascend, is energized to develop, mentor and advocate for Asian-American leaders in Corporate America. He joined the Ascend Board in 2008 and was the co-President Northern California Chapter from 2009 to 2012. Larry co-leads the development of an online, innovative leadership talk show for young professionals. Larry retired from HP. Larry earned his BSE from the University of Michigan, and MBA from the University of California Berkeley.
