About Feed Our Future

What is Feed Our Future?

• Changing the perception of the Asian community through food and cultural education through local restaurants (similar to FYH).

• Kids are the future. If we can get children to see Asians helping them, and eat Asian food, it normalizes it and they can spread the message back to their families that Asians are good people who make yummy food.

Who is the target audience and community?

• Food insecure children and/or families, General public school age children, family, after school programs, family shelters and community centers.​​

Where does the money go?

• Your donations will go directly to Feed Our Future Northern California who collaborates with restaurants in Greater San Francisco, East Bay, Peninsula, and South Bay to not only deliver meals but offer cultural and historical education of the food.  

• Credit card fees (4%) apply for each donation. Feed Your Hospital is 100% volunteer-run.

How does this initiative align with the purpose of Ascend Cares?

• This initiatives builds bridges between Ascend leaders, while increasing awareness and involvement from our cultural community businesses.

​​Is my donation tax-deductible?

• Feed Our Future is fiscally sponsored by the Ascend Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. For all donations, you will receive an official Ascend Foundation letter via e-mail acknowledging your donation, which can be used for tax purposes.

How can I give a large donation?

• For large donations, you can help us save on credit card fees by sending a check to the Ascend Foundation, and noting “Feed Our Future - Northern California” in the memo line (Address: 160 Broadway 6th Floor E Bldg, New York, NY 10038). If you would like to directly wire the money, donate through your charitable trust, or donate through another means, please e-mail us at northerncalifornia@ascendleadership.org
