Yogesh Bahl

Managing Director

AlixPartners, LLP

Yogesh is on the Board of Ascend, a not-for-profit focused on exposing the impact of Asian stereotypes and helping Pan-Asians succeed in all phases of their careers.  As a passionate supporter of women’s rights, he serves on the board of WomanKind, an organization that helps women and children survivors of domestic violence and other forms of abuse by empowering them to live their lives independent of their abusers. 

Yogesh has worked with companies in Japan for 5 years, in Taiwan for 3 years and in Korea for 1.5 years.  He has also advised companies around the world in connection with doing business with partners in India and China.  Yogesh, with a team of others, led the creation of the Asian ERG at AlixPartners called ALIGN, the Asian Leadership Insights & Growth Network; ALIGN now has more than 300 members in a firm of approximately 2,100 professionals.

Leveraging approximately 24 years of experience in finance, accounting, and operations across various industries, Yogesh has conducted investigations, served as an expert in disputes, and has helped many companies implement strategies to generate incremental profits.  He is also focused on helping companies, including private equity portfolio companies, improve by providing assistance in the areas EBITDA improvement, cash generation, and operational efficiencies.

Yogesh is a Certified Public Accountant with an MBA in Finance and Statistics and a B.S. in Accounting and International Business, both from New York University’s Stern School of Business.  The main drivers for Yogesh’s efforts are his family, especially his fourteen-year old daughter and his sixteen-year old son.

Tracey Doi

Chief Financial Officer, Group Vice President

Tracey Doi serves as Chief Financial Officer and Group Vice President for TOYOTA Motor North America responsible for accounting, finance, tax, corporate strategy and  planning. 

Tracey is a change agent skilled in major transformation, strategic planning, business  analytics, enterprise systems, risk management and corporate governance. She has a  passion for building highly engaged teams to successfully grow Toyota in this disruptive  auto mobility environment.

As an executive member of the North American Management Committee, Doi sets  strategy, mid to long-term business plans, and drives opportunities to increase  competitiveness in manufacturing, sales, digital technology and supply chain. She serves on the Audit, Benefit, and Divisional Executive committees.

Tracey is an experienced independent board director, currently chairing the Audit  Committee for City National Bank, a Royal Bank of Canada company with over $60 billion  in assets. She is also a member of the Risk committee. Previously Tracey served two  terms on the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco Economic Advisory Council.

Tracey is an active board member of 2020 Women on Boards, the National Asian  American Pacific Islander Chamber of Commerce, and the Japanese American National  Museum. She enjoys supporting the Toyota Business Partnering Groups as well as the  Orchid Giving Circle Fund at the Texas Women’s Foundation. 

Tracey has been recognized three times by Automotive News as one of the Top 100  Women in the automotive industry, by D CEO as one of the Top 500 most influential  business leaders in Dallas-Fort Worth and was recently honored by Texas Women’s  Foundation as the recipient of its 2020 Maura Women Helping Women Award and by

Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics (LEAP) as the honoree of its 2020 Margaret  Ashida Leadership Award.

A former Deloitte Consulting executive with over 25 years of business and leadership development experience, Neena excels at helping her clients get results they couldn’t before – for their Fortune 500 companies and their careers. Over 75% of her clients get promoted. 

 

She launched Newberry Executive Solutions in 2008 to pursue her passion for helping women be successful. She left a 14-year career in management consulting and a role on Deloitte’s U.S. HR Executive Committee, not knowing the economy would tank just three months later, teaching her invaluable lessons.

 

Neena strives to help leaders realize their potential whether it’s through the proven strategies in her breakthrough app, New Lens® – which was recognized with a Gold Stevie Award for Best New Product; her book, Show Up. Neena has designed a life that allows her to spend quality time with her family while pursuing her passion. She broke in her first glove learning to play baseball with her son, and he keeps her energized. Most recently, her sense of adventure has taken her hiking rim to rim in the Grand Canyon, exploring east Africa, and racing cars on a Formula 1 track.  Neena also carves out time to give back to her community, serving on the advisory board of the Texas Woman’s University Institute for Women’s Leadership, the board of the Texas Women’s Foundation, the Akola Project advisory board, and the United Way Community Impact Committee.

Shuba has over 18 years of experience in leveraging digital and advanced analytics capabilities to help organizations transform their Enterprise Risk management functions such as Internal audit, Compliance and legal to data enabled functions that perform risk assessments, audits, regulatory reporting, compliance testing in an efficient and effective manner. Shuba has implemented Digital platforms for Internal Audit, Legal and Compliance organization to enable their Integrated Risk Management framework. She is known for her innovative thinking and bold execution of technology solutions that solve real business issues for clients.

Shuba is passionate about talent development and has led numerous leadership training and development programs both within and outside of Deloitte. She is a member of Women in Technology (Dallas Chapter) and coaches high-school students on resume writing and college preparation. Shuba serves as Asian BRG Partner lead for Deloitte’s North Texas practice.

Shuba serves as Advisory Council Member for Master of Business Analytics Program(MSBA) at McCombs School of Business at UT Austin to help shape the curriculum to fit the market needs and mentor students in helping them define their career goals and coach them for job opportunities.

Bianca Chow

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Wellbeing Leader

Fossil Group

Bianca Chow is a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Wellbeing Leader at Fossil Group. Over the course of her 16-year tenure at Fossil Group, Bianca has led efforts in the areas of Merchandising, Global Operations, Marketing, and Brand Management. Bianca seeks to serve and empower women and young people and invests her time mentoring high school and college-aged women through the Dallas Step Up Women’s Network and GenHERation, a national network where young women and companies connect. Bianca is also a member of the Orchid Giving Circle at the Texas Women’s Foundation, and recently stepped into a new community role - serving on the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Corporate Council. Bianca is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin where she earned her BBA in Marketing.

Jared (he, him, his) is an experienced leader, speaker, and consultant with expertise in workplace culture, diversity and inclusion, talent acquisition, employee engagement, and leadership development. Jared’s mission is to unlock the potential in people and create environments where everyone feels valued.

Jared serves as the Vice President of User Engagement for Kanarys, a Dallas-based startup that provides actionable insights to companies by enabling employees to anonymously rate their workplace on diversity, inclusion, and culture. Prior to these roles, Jared gained several years of experience as a management consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and Huron Consulting Group serving Fortune 100 clients.

Jared holds a diversity and inclusion certification from the Yale School of Management, a MBA and a Masters in Health Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Houston. He also holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Change Management Practitioner, and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications.

Jared has a heart for service. He is currently a Partner with Social Venture Partners Dallas, a philanthropic organization focused on strengthening nonprofits and investing in innovative solutions to address community challenges. His past community leadership experience includes serving on the board of the Dallas-Fort Worth Urban League Young Professionals and as a member of the Dallas Mayor’s Star Council.

Jared is also the author of "50 Questions Black Children Should Ask Their Fathers", a journal he wrote to help Black children connect more deeply with their fathers.

Jared grew up all over the country, but claims Dallas, Texas as home. When not working, he loves to experience new cultures and has traveled to all 50 U.S. states and over 30 countries.

Charlie Lin

Vice-Chair Toyota Asian American Society in Alliance (TAASiA)

Charlie Lin is an analytics and supply chain professional currently working as a manager for Toyota Financial Services Dealer Lending department. Charlie’s automotive supply chain background is heavily influenced by his time working at Amazon, Continental AG, and Toyota North America Service Parts. His passion in analytics stems from his time in consulting and being one of the founders of the Business User Analytics committee at Toyota.

 

During his time at Toyota, Charlie has been very active in the ERG community service initially as the Marketplace Chair of the Toyota Asian American Society in Alliance (TAASiA) and now in the current role of Vice-Chair. His main accomplishments include building and developing relationships with corporate partners in the local DFW area, fostering the partnership with Ascend North Texas, and mentoring/engaging Toyota team members.

 

Charlie is also a Director at DFW Collab a local grass roots organization whose mission is to develop, empower, engage the Asian American community in the DFW area. Prior to the pandemic, DFW Collab was successful in attracting a total of 175 players, parents, and community members in running a Youth basketball clinic and 2 developmental programs.

 

Originally from Michigan, Charlie and his wife live in Plano with their two dogs (shih-tzu and bichon frise).

Cindy Lu

Cindy Lu’ is the founder of CHRO Partners which helps Heads of HR functions make faster and better decisions through peers advisory boards so they can create more inclusive cultures and a better employee experience.

She believes that in today’s fast paced environment, it’s impossible for leaders to have all the answers and being a connected people leader is a core competency that leads to faster and better decisions. 

Her favorite advice from a mentor was “Hire Hard and Manage easy”.

In her spare time, she serves on the Dallas Leadership committee for 2020 Women on Boards and The Dallas Regional Chambers Board of Advisors.

Prior to CHRO Partners, Cindy was the co-founder and CEO of The Novo Group, an angel backed professional services firm that won numerous awards over the years including the Milwaukee Metropolitan Association of Commerce's "Future 50" (three years in a row) for companies seeing extraordinary growth, MetroParent Magazine's Family Friendly Award and the Milwaukee Business Journal's Best Places to Work.

In addition, The Novo Group was named by Inc. Magazine to their Inc. 5000 list (ranked #43 in HR) and Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility.

Cindy was named to The Milwaukee Business Journal's "40 Under 40" in 2003.

She has enjoyed serving on corporate boards for Aileron and TJ Hale in addition to the non-profit board for Junior Achievement and Boy Scouts of Milwaukee.

A significant part of her career was spent at Parson Group as part of the core executive team responsible for Parson's # 1 ranking in the year 2000 for the Fastest Growing Private Company by Inc. Magazine. 

She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Karyne Nguyen

Assistant Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility

Karyne Nguyen is an Assistant Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility at Mr. Cooper Group, one of the nation’s largest home loan servicers.  In her role, she focuses on fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the team member experience and oversees their seventeen employee resource teams, which encompass a presence in the United States and India.

At Mr. Cooper Group since 2011, she has also worked within their home loan servicing and compliance operations.  Dedicated to building connections, creativity, and cultivating company culture, she serves as President of the Asians in Motion resource team and is a Director for their corporate choir.

She is currently a Member of Class 9 of the Mayor’s Star Council, a civically-minded organization dedicated to developing emerging leaders within the City of Dallas, Texas.  She also enjoys contributing to the North Texas community through volunteerism, including service as a Dallas Stars Foundation Difference Maker, with Make-A-Wish North Texas, and Dwell with Dignity.

Suman Upreti joined JPMorgan Chase in 2004 and has served as the Head of Client Services, Implementations, and Boarding Operations since February 2020. Leading over 300 employees within the US and Dublin. Suman’s team overseas Client Service, Issues Management, Implementations, and Onboarding Clients. Suman has lead various strategy roles including AML/KYC Remediation, One Chase Service for Business, WePay, and most recently Client, Service & Implementations Integration.

 

With over 25 years of experience in leading complex global operations. Suman has extensive knowledge of payment processing and card services industries in addition to planning, forecasting and implementation of budgets.

 

Suman holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Texas in Arlington and a Masters in Computer Science from Bellevue University.

 

Fun Fact: Suman enjoys spending time with his family and watching films. He also enjoys to running daily.
